When the sensor S4 is made ON the entire lamp should OFF.

Hints: – Consider Sensor is having NO Contact Only.

Assignment 4:-

In a milling machine, when we press push button (PB1), the motor will start. When we released the pushbutton the motor will stop. If another pushbutton (PB2) is pressed the motor should starts and when we release the pushbutton the motor will continuously run. In case a fault occurs emergency stop pushbutton PB3 is pressed to stop the motor. As long as the emergency push button pressed PB1 & PB2 will not work.

Assignment 5:-

One motor starts to run and continues if Start push button (PB1) is pressed and released and stops when Stop push button (PB2) is pressed and released. If another push button (PB3, Jog push button) is pressed, motor runs as long as the push button is pressed and stops if push button is released. While the motor is running if Jog push button is pressed and released then motor should stop. When again Jog push button is pressed and released then Jog function is activated.

Jog :- It means When push button is pressed out put will be ON when push button is released out put will be OFF.

Assignment 6:-

In a one way tunnel there are three Proximity Switch S1, S2 & S3. When the car passes sensor S1 the bulb B1 glows. When the car passes sensor S2 the bulb B1 gets OFF & the bulb B2 glows. When the car finally passes the sensor S3 the bulb B2 gets OFF.

Hints: – Consider Proximity Switch is having NO Contact Only.

Assignment 7:-

In a room, when PB1 is pressed a bulb B1 gets on which was previously off. When PB2 is pressed a fan will run & B1 should off and a fluorescent lamp should On. When PB3 is pressed a T.V. will on & a fan should off and an Air conditioner will run. When PB4 is pressed every thing should off which is On.

Assignment 8:-

When the pushbutton PB1 is pressed, it will run a conveyer and simultaneously it will glow a green light on, showing that a conveyer is running in full speed. There is another pushbutton PB2 when it is pressed it will run the conveyer and an orange light will glow showing that a conveyer is running at low speed. When a pushbutton PB3 is pressed the whole system will stop.

Assignment 9:

In a packaging machine, there are two sensors S1 and S2. When the product is present at sensor S1, the machine should start filling the product into the container. When the product is present at sensor S2, the machine should stop filling the product and start the sealing process. After sealing, the machine should reset and be ready for the next cycle.

Hints: – Consider Sensor is having NO Contact Only.

Assignment 10:

In a water treatment plant, there are two tanks T1 and T2. When the level of water in tank T1 reaches a certain level, the motor M1 should start and start pumping water from tank T1 to tank T2. When the level of water in tank T2 reaches a certain level, the motor M1 should stop pumping water. At the same time, motor M2 should start and start pumping water from tank T2 to the distribution system. When the level of water in tank T2 falls below a certain level, the motor M2 should stop.

Assignment 11:

In a parking garage, there are three sensors S1, S2, and S3. When a car is present at sensor S1, the barrier should lift and the light B1 should turn on. When a car is present at sensor S2, the light B1 should turn off and the barrier should close. When a car is present at sensor S3, the barrier should lift and the light B2 should turn on. When the car leaves the garage, the barrier should close and the lights B1 and B2 should turn off.

Hints: – Consider Sensor is having NO Contact Only.

Assignment 12:

In a heating system, there are two temperature sensors S1 and S2. When the temperature at sensor S1 falls below a certain level, the heater should turn on and start heating the room. When the temperature at sensor S2 reaches a certain level, the heater should turn off. At the same time, the fan should turn on and start circulating the warm air in the room. When the temperature at sensor S2 falls below a certain level, the fan should turn off.

Assignment 13:

In a manufacturing plant, there are two conveyor belts C1 and C2. When the product arrives at conveyor C1, it should start moving towards conveyor C2. When the product arrives at conveyor C2, it should move towards the packaging machine. If there is a fault in conveyor C2, the product should be diverted to conveyor C3, and a signal should be sent to the maintenance department.

Assignment 14:

In a traffic signal system, there are three lights L1, L2, and L3. When the light L1 is green, the traffic from the north-south direction should move. When the light L2 is green, the traffic from the east-west direction should move. When the light L3 is yellow, all the traffic should stop. The time duration for each signal should be configurable and can be changed by an operator.

Assignment 15:

In a lift system, there are two floors F1 and F2. When the lift is at floor F1 and someone presses the button to go to floor F2, the lift should move to floor F2. When the lift is at floor F2 and someone presses the button to go to floor F1, the lift should move to floor F1. The lift should stop at each floor for a configurable time before moving to the next floor.

Assignment 16:

You have two machines, machine A and machine B. When a sensor connected to machine A detects an object, it will send a signal to machine B to start processing the object. Machine B will continue processing the object until it is finished, and then it will send a signal back to machine A to let it know that the processing is complete.

Hints: – Consider Sensor is having NO Contact Only.

Assignment 17:

You have a packaging machine that takes items from a conveyor belt and packs them into boxes. When the items are being fed into the machine, a sensor will detect whether the items are the correct size. If they are not the correct size, a buzzer will sound and the machine will stop. If the items are the correct size, the machine will continue to pack them into boxes until the box is full. Once the box is full, it will be moved off the conveyor belt and another empty box will take its place.

Hints: – Consider Sensor is having NO Contact Only.

Assignment 18:

In a water treatment plant, there are four tanks of water that need to be filled in a specific order. Tank A needs to be filled first, followed by tank B, tank C, and then tank D. Each tank has a sensor that will detect when the water level has reached a certain height. Once the water level reaches the desired height in a tank, a valve will close and the pump will stop. Once all four tanks are full, the system will shut down.

Hints: – Consider Sensor is having NO Contact Only.

Assignment 19:

You have a conveyor belt with boxes of different sizes moving along it. A sensor will detect the size of each box and direct it to the appropriate station for processing. The boxes will then be moved to a final station where they will be checked to make sure they have been processed correctly. If a box has not been processed correctly, a buzzer will sound and the system will stop. If all the boxes have been processed correctly, the system will continue to operate.

Hints: – Consider Sensor is having NO Contact Only.

Assignment 20:

You have a traffic light system at an intersection. When the traffic light turns green, the traffic can move in the direction indicated by the green light. When the traffic light turns red, the traffic must stop. There are sensors at the intersection that detect the presence of cars and adjust the timing of the traffic lights accordingly. If the sensors detect a car waiting at a red light, the timing of the green light will be adjusted to allow the car to move through the intersection.

Hints: – Consider Sensor is having NO Contact Only.
